Lieutenant General (Retired) Wendy M. Masiello
Former Director, Defense Contract Management Agency
Lieutenant General (Retired) Wendy M. Masiello was the Director of the Defense Contract Management Agency, where she led a team of nearly 12,000 civilians and military personnel and oversaw worldwide contracts totaling more than $2 trillion.
A former assistant professor at the Air Force Institute of Technology, Gen. Masiello held a variety of systems acquisition roles during her 36-year tenure with the US Air Force, including principal contracting officer for surveillance and reconnaissance systems, weapon systems, and test ranges. Prior to becoming the Director of the Defense Contract Management Agency, she was the Deputy Assistant Secretary (Contracting) in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition in Washington, D.C., (AFB); the Commander of the 95th Air Base Wing at Edwards AFB; and the Executive Director for the National Reconnaissance Office Inspector General. In addition, Gen. Masiello is an active board member of various organizations. She is a Fellow and past Board Chair of the National Contract Management Association, and currently serves on several senior advisory boards and councils. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of KBR Inc., where she serves on the Compensation, and Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility committees and Chairs the Cyber Security Committee; StandardAero Board, where she serves on the Audit committee; MRIGlobal Board, where she serves on the Audit and Finance and the Compensation and Human Relations Committees; the Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation Board; and the EURPAC Services Board of Directors, where she is a member of the Compensation and IT committees.
Gen. Masiello holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing from Texas Tech University, where she earned her commission through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program and has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumna; a Master of Science in logistics management from the Air Force Institute of Technology; and a Master of Science in national resource strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces at National Defense University.
